MP Zimmer Attends the 2018 BC Natural Resources Forum in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE – Bob Zimmer, Member of Parliament for Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies attended the 2018 BC Natural Resources Forum in Prince George today.

The BC Natural Resources Forum has been an invaluable event for many years bringing together leaders from government, industry, as well as the First Nations community in an effort to work together to expand the resource sector in British Columbia.

“It’s great to see so many leaders get together with the sole purpose of discussing BC’s natural resource development, an issue that is of critical importance to me personally as it directly impacts so many of my constituents. I was pleased to run into many local community leaders, including Mayor Bill Streeper, Mayor Lyn Hall, Councillor Larry Evans, Councillor Shaely Wilbur, Regional Director Dan Rose, MLA Dan Davies, Councillor Gord Klassen, Mayor Merlin Nichols, Mayor Jeannette Townsend, Councillor Byron Stewart, Mayor Dale Bumstead, and Councillor Mark Rogers who are all showing their support for this important sector,” said Mr. Zimmer.

“Finally, I would like to recognize the significant contribution that MLA Mike Morris has made to this event over the years and I echo what National Chief Perry Bellgarde said in his comments, good relationships are the key to developing our natural resources, and this forum has been working to create these relationships for fifteen years. “
